I hadn't intended to appear to be preaching, nor am I.

.

.

I was just hoping to spark a discussion about it by raising a viewpoint.

.

.

perhaps that's asking too much.

.

.

well obviously it is.

Does nobody else think it's an oddity for a society to press to move to more efficient energy usage whilst at the same time inventing and marketing ways of using more energy for no practical result? I grant you it's a slightly bigger and more complex question than how to play Guitar Hero better but hey, might be a question worth considering since apparently the future of our planet might depend upon our attitude towards it.

Most people HAVE to run cars and the internet for work and business in these days.

.

.

no option till the govn give us decent public transport as an alternative or every other business also forgoes the web to level the playing field.

Close the internet altogether? Absolutely no problem for me I assure you.

I survived v happily without it for 35 yrs and would do so again, as would the rest of the human race.

As for the arguement about running a 2.

I've already said I'm not intending to preach but rather discuss but perhaps you should explore the carbon footprint involved in the making of new cars

(not just the running of them) and consider the actual costs involved to the consumer which preclude many

(me included) from buying a new car before you start calling people stupid.

I'm just having a conversation and thought it an interesting point to raise.

If it's not mentally stimulating enough for you please feel free to go back to your discussion about miming.
