Well my old white 360 RROD'd again

- the towel trick worked for a while but is defo no perm fix.

So.

.

.

.

I bought an

'x clamp kit' on ebay for

£4 and it worked a treat!

There is a bit of fiddling around but it really isnt that bad

- strip your 360, remove the motherboard, remove the existing X clamps on the underneath of the motherboard, remove the 2 heatsyncs and clean all the crap

(thermal paste) off the CPU and GPU using a few cotton buds and alcohol

(I used white spirit lol and wasnt shy with it and it worked fine)

Once both chips are all nice and clean I smacked some fresh thermal paste on both chips

(comes with the kit) and put the new bolts

& washers in place of the old X clamps and put it all back together.

Hey presto it works like a charm again

I had it on all day sunday

- a few games and divx playback and no probs what so ever.

Thought I would share this with you as its a proper fix and only costs

£4

- xbox repair companies use this exact fix and charge

£50 upwards.

All you need is a torque screwdriver bit

(2 different sizes) and a size 9 socket

(depending on what kit you buy) and thats it.
