Sounds like it was a good day. Gutted I couldn't make it! I was in Essex, dropping the wife off somewhere, but couldn't get away to come. :(

Mark, well done. Seems our mapping guru is worth his weight, huh? ;) If only everything went smoothly last mapping session - you'd be registering some eye-raising figures.

BenF, so you managed to get the Mk3 turbocharged then? EXCELLENT results!! =D>

Yes mate, he is definately a living god!!

Shame it didn't all come together in time though, reckon i should be seeing 370+ when it's sorted (hopefully later this coming week).

Ok I admit defeat  However I did manage to make more torque!

As myself and Mark agreed earlier today just how nice it would have been if we had both been running 100% but on the day we both had our Gremlins! And so the score for the on going battle of Mikejc and Mr Edwards stands at 1 all :D

Thanks to all that made the taking of the photos such a pleasure =D> I look forward to seeing the results within the pages of J Tuner \:D/

Best

Sorry to hear that you had problems too, Mike. What gremlins were you suffering?

Chargecooler fluid wasn't circulating. We tried alsorts to get it going but with no luck. He thinks it's the pump, i think it was just a major air lock looking at how the system fits together, bad design faults really IMHO.

Did you consider whether a hose got kinked somewhere? Maybe out of view - after all, the hosing will run to the front under the floorpan covers, right?

I don't think it was no. When i stuck my mouth over the resevoir and blew, it would quite happily push what water there was in the system through, but it looked like the hoses in and out of the rad might be round the wrong way so it's going in at the top and out at the bottom (air getting stuck at the top of the rad) and personaly i think the pump is too high in the system so it's really struggling to prime once empty.

I doubt that...
The resevoir is still the highest point in the system, and even if any air were
still present in the Chargecooler core, it wouldn't impede flow.
The pump being very low in the system should guarentee it is primed...
and if it's primed... it should be pumping at full rate... It is the motivating
force in water flow rate.

That's my point Paul, the pump isn't much lower than the resevoir so i don't think it was priming it properly. The highest point in the system seems to me to be the top of the cc itself, but it's the pre rad that i think had the air lock anyway not the cc. The pump was working, maybe not as it should, but it was definately working. It just sounded like it was pumping nothing but air though, i don't know if the pre rad has a bleed on it at all as i didn't think to ask at the time. #-o
