You have a new icon under network in the XMB to access it.

Re: HOME open beta available to all
Downloaded and installed this morning.
Seems very good!

Wonder what the xbox guys will think

hmmm
I've just had a quick read of the wiki article on Home, and it looks quite an interesting concept.
.
.
apart from paying real money to buy things for your virtual house??

Have you guys made your avatars yet, if so post em up! It'd be good to see how they compare to our slightly gay xbox ones

Doubt I'll be spending any real money on 'things' ! The virtual world '2nd life' has people who make a good living selling virtual accessories and whatnot.

They sneaked that one out with zero fanfare!

There's been a lot mentioned the last couple of days regarding the open beta going live and a possible crimbo release.

Not spent a massive amount of time on it but your avatar/character has a more human look but the graphics aren't anything special.

PS.

PS.You need to reserve 3gb of HDD space
That'll please Matt..

It isn't an install Matt

It just asks you to confirm 3gb of HDD space, Once your actually in HOME it looks like every location you visit is an additional download that then gets stored in the 3gb reserve.

Yeah they're overloaded at the moment because of the take up, took me around 5 attempts to get in.

It's only a beta so not polished yet.

Once the initial novelty wears off the load will go down a bit.

Thought that'd probably be the reason.
