To slap someone, stand next to them and hold one of your arms fully in one direction, then flick it to the other side as quickly as you can, he then gives the other player a wallop and sends them flying :)

MMC. I might give that a go if I meet another player who keeps messing it up.

any ideas on the whole 'heart' thing? Was standing in a pod waiting to arrive somewhere and this other player kept having a heart appear above their head. Also where does text speak pop up, have seen speech bubbles appear but am not able to read them.

It's quite satisfying giving someone a slap when they mess up the same part again and again :)
No idea about the heart thing, but there again I rarely endear myself to others, they probab ly just like you. The text bubble means someone's typing a message, with the standard text entry method that can be painfully slow!

:D :thumleft:

I've been killed a few times online now by being knocked off ledges from a slap waiting for lifts etc

I wanted to know mainly for the people who insist on vandalizing my pod

Seen the adverts on TV for this and now I'm convinced it's for children!

You might as well take up watching Teletubies and Barney if you think this is anything other than infantile.

I'll confess the graphics doo look superb though.

I'm a big boy now Lauren.

This is for babies. You might as well get a Wii and sell the Ps3 ;)

I wouldn't be so sure. The way in which levels can be created is endless, so you get lots of variety. Also just because a level can look cute doesn't mean there will necessarily be anything cute about how it plays.

I spent hours last night playing with a few good friends of mine (online), just exploring the different user created levels, absolutely brilliant fun. :+:

I really doubt a baby could cope with it tbh.

You couldn't be more wrong ](*,)

If you can't see past FPS games then you'll hate it. If you like tricky platform games with puzzle elements then you will love it, Simple as, And playing it online with open mic with friends is very funny when your trying to co-ordinate some of the later 2 player only elements.

It's a bit like a modern twist on The Lost Vikings if you ask me.

And yes it does look bloody good and the music in it is brilliant. With the endless possibilty of user developed levels it has longevity and a couple of these i've come across already have had a rediculous amount of time spent on them and would pass as levels made by the designers (world of colour anyone?)

Why does it look like a fisher price my first game then?

I understand that you're saying it may be mentally challenging, but seriously, look at it?

It's nothing to do with FPS, I like other games. But being toys just doesnt interest me.

Much like Lego Star Wars, Batman & Indiana Jones.

Really liked world of colour. Also only discovered last night that there are more pages of levels, got up to page 20 and realised that this will just keep increasing the longer the game is out. It really is a brilliant concept.

Because they tried to make it look original and like nothing you've seen before? (Apart from Pa Rapper the Rapper) I have no idea but it works very well.

It's partly because of the way you interact with everything and design your own levels. It's like 2.5D and you design levels as you would play pin the tail on the donkey. EVERYTHING you see in the game, backdrops, objects, switches, enemies, music, sound fx are collectable as you make your way through it so you can then put your own levels together, The devs claim the published levels that come with it were made the same way so time and imagination is the users restriction on why they can't make something as brilliant as what you get "out of the box"

I appreciate the concept but just dont understand why it's been packaged up as something that looks SO childish.

Perhaps it'll pave the way for more adult fun with a simular idea?

WOC is brilliant, That must have took ages to put together  there's a couple of really good prison break ones too, Gladiators & Mirrors Edge are cool. TBH i haven't played that many user created levels yet but i will be having a peep at which ones you've been playing via my pod and do some catching up. I've managed to get 100% on everything up to metropolis so far but it's getting rather difficult now.

I give up!!! ](*,)

Just buy it off Littlewoods with the voucher and make up your own mind (once you've actually PLAYED it) If you hate it you'll make a profit selling it on ebay.

I've hardly done the story levels.. only got as far as the wedding one where I got terribly stuck jumping on those tombstone things... keep meaning to do a bit more on it though.

I've played some of the jail break ones, love the cryptic ones where you have to work it out. Played an excellent one last night, well it would have been excellent but I got stuck pretty quickly. Was called ICO think it was on page 2 or 3 or the cool levels.

DING. Matt has severe difficulty when it comes to changing his opinion. Or maybe he's a bit worried what others might think if they catch him playing LBP (some people really do still worry about such things)? Like Andy says just buy it, play it and then see what you think. I must admit though I really think the cute aspect to some of the levels is very endearing and see this as a positive point.

Funniest thing you've ever said. Not because it's true (it is) but because the only person on IMOC less likely to change their opinions on something is you.
