South West Rolling Road Day, Sat 29th November

Post by raygunn »

Hi

I have been offered the chance from a New Car Tuning Company called M-Tech Automotive to offer a group Rolling Road Day, If 10-20+ people come along they will charge £35 per car which includes 2 runs, food/lunch and a printout. This is planned for the 29th of November. Please let me know (pm me) if you are interrested. You can add yourself to the attendants list on thier website by going to the Rolling Road section, or I can do it for you.

M-Tech Automotive, 149 Engineer Road, West Wilts Trading Estate, Westbury Wiltshire, BA13 4JW.

Hi guys, in the process of hopefully picking up a new tubby soon, dont know if itll be sorted before this weekend though :(
I only live down the road though so if its ok would be sweet to come and have a look and meet some of the local owners!

Quick question, when you say two runs I presume this is 2 seperate runs? 1 run consisting of 3 shoot outs to get the average of the 3? If it is 2 completely seperate runs would I have time to drop a different tune on?

This will be an excellent op for me to check my semi-open look tune vs my stft tune and particularly interested in checking out my AFR's to ensure they are still consitent with the last time I checked back in Feb.

Definitely up for this as its only down the road (despite moving to Swindon!) as it would be good to check out a new rolling road (usually use Charly down at Surrey RR). What runners are they on? Dynodynamics etc? Also the results, I'm only interested in whp not flywheel, will the results be given as wheel or flywheel (the latter being a pluck figure from air type result ;))

ETA managed to get car out of storage and then had a look as to how I ended up with the notification! This thread http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0 was how I registered here so I'll be able to prove it really was me :D

See you guys on Saturday

Hi

After speaking to the guys at Mtech they say that the price is to have the car strapped down once and do 3-6 runs/shootouts basically until your satisfied. This can be measured in FWHP or RWHP its up to you and they can switch between the 2 anyway after each runs/shootouts. For £45 per hour you can book the dyno if you want to and make use of the AFR/Wideband probe and Manifold pressure sensor to moniter AFR and boost after the other people have finished their runs.. They use a Dyno Dynamics Rolling Road with built in AFR/Wideband probe and Manifold pressure sensor.

Cheers

excellent stuff, def need to check the afr but would have thought they'd be sticking in the lamda probe as part of the run? Not to worry as at 45 notes thats still only a tenner more and gives me a chance to do a few changes to tunes etc :D

They do indeed poke the probe up the exhaust  as part of the run..

well got the car out of storage, the tuning software ready now I just need to remember to screw the airbox back in!

Just had a chat with m-tech they reckon it may be a 3 finish? I'll aim to be down there around 2ish so see you guys down there. I'm heading up from Swindon if anyone else is in this area
