[Mk2] [Turbo] Help with Apexi Power FC

Post by Wobbs »

Hi,
My Tubby is finaly back together, but I have a slight problem with the Apexi Power FC. The ECU seems to be running the fuel mixture way to week, If I try to reduce the injector % to accmodate the new Sard 800cc injectors she wont start. I put a scope meter on the O2 sensor yesterday to try and determin how the mixture was running and thats when it became apparant that she was running way to lean.I glad I havent taken her for a spin! There dosent appear to be any air leaks around the inlet manifold as I getting 3/4Bar vacume. Ive tryed making some adjustments using the Commander but dont seem to be able to richern the mixture. Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

Ryan G Sussed It!

Hi,
Just thought that Id resorect this one to let you guy's know what the problem was causing the Apexi to run so lean.
Its was the new GM boost sensor!
The Apexi ECU assumes that you are using a stock pressure sensor, so where Id fitted the new one, the signal coming back to the ECU was of the wrong ratio, the ECU thought that the engine was on over run all the time and weakening the fuel right off.
I have to give a big THANKS! to RYAN G - You are the MAN.
He spotted the problem stright away and he's just finished installing a base map so I can now run the enging in safley, once run in he's going to MAP her propley.
RYAN, big thanks again mate, cracking job. Cant wait to get her maped fully.
Oh! happy day's..................... \:D/ \:D/
