It does take a while for the names to appear on the website. Noticed that when i did mine.

Just wondering - would there be any interest in sorting out a place for a meal after the trackday, to talk about the day's event :)

I know a couple of good pubs in that area, and if there are enough of us interested I could sort out a table - probably at the Black Tiles at Martlesham: http://www.blacktiles.co.uk/

If you would be interested, add your name below:

Had to drag the parentals along to look after me during the day so it seemed unfair to pack them off while we went for a meal afterwards :p Hope no-one minds.

If I'm 'nil by mouth' by then (supposed to be having surgery on the Monday) I'm staying in the car though!!!

What to drive, or to spectate?

To Drive - I'd say definitely ring and book in advance so you don't have a wasted journey.

To Spectate - for most trackday organisers, this is usually FOC once you've signed the relevant paperwork. Should be possible to get a few passenger laps in as well

Good stuff - I'll speak to Javelin and get a table booked @ Black tiles for a couple of hours after the trackday ends.

Cheers,

Just paid, can't wait.

Be gentle with me as it's my first track day.
If pos might try to do a few laps as a passenger before I have a go in my car.
As long as no one minds.

Good idea, get a few laps as as passenger but I bet at the end of the day we'll have to drag you off the track :p

Adam :+: you'll really enjoy it, I'm sure. You're welcome to get some passenger rides with me, and I'd say definitely book some instruction if they have anyone available there during the day.

At the moment the Trackday Mk1 is in for its MOT today - I'm expecting it to need a bit of welding (not surprising if you've ever seen it) but if it is OK and passes ( and I get to fix the slight free play in the steering rack ... :-o ) ...I'll be there in that, if not I'll be there in the Roadster.

BTW - you fancy joining us for food afterwards @ the Black Tiles ?

OK, table now booked provisionally for 8 people at the Black Tiles.

Anyone have any particular dietary requirements?

Menus are here : http://www.blacktiles.co.uk/menus.htm

http://www.blacktiles.co.uk/downloads/m ... Aug_08.pdf

Confirmed so far:

1. BenF
2. Jo
3. Garrick
4. vix
5. Phil
6. vix's mum
7. vix's dad
8. Jmachling (via pm)

The trackday ends at 16:30 - so allowing for people to pack cars up, swap wheels and drive down there we should get to the Black Tiles for 6.30pm.

Thanks Ben Will hopefully take you up on the offer of the ride.
Saw the mk1 at JAE on the friday, i thought she was a beautifull specimen.
Food sounds like a fantastic idea. Just waiting to find out who i'm taking. The other half might need to get back, but have to give her first refusal.

All
I am afraid i am going to have to dip out of this one...even though i arranged it!
Few things have conspired against me to prevent me from paying up.
Sorry all, i am sure you will have a great time. I may be able to join last minute, we will see.

Ben has kindly agreed to take over the reins on this from here on in.
