I have just booked & Paid (Although our names are yet to appear on the attendee list).

I notice that according to the attendee list we have 26 names down for those wanting to drive (excluding ToniG & spectators).

Only 8 (9 if you count us) MR2's confirmed. Not good really. Come on guys/girls you only have 1 day left to get the day booked at £105.00 from there it goes up to £119.00

I put my name down but cannot commit to anything just yet. If I can get the weekend off, I'll happily pay the extended price to join you, but we'll see what happens. May even have a mk1 by then

I (amongst others) drove this venue yesterday as part of the Toyota Sprint Series.

Absolutely brilliant 8)

Javelin made good use of the old airfield which a lot of is overgorwn so they had us weaving in and out of shrubs and bushes growing through the surfaces in places. Absolutely awesome 8)

It was also very wet in morning... very, very wet:

But despite all the water there was loads of grip. I also got chance to practice a bit of gooning which went well until I ran out of talent and had a 180 spin. But that didn't stop me, I continued pretty much doing every corner with opposite lock (and not spinning)

Come on sign up - you really won't regret it :thumleft:

I'm out of this as well....too many things to sort on the car and not enough time/money to get sorted.

Sarah and Kate may drop in to catch up with folks but won't be staying for the day.

I'm seeing if my brother in law is going to come down with the Mk1 - if he can make it, it would be his first trackday driving ever.

New rear tyres are now sorted for the Roadster and I'm just about to ring Javelin up and pay for the day :+:

OK, just spoken to Colin at Javelin - for those that are booked as provisional ( there are 8 at the moment ) you need give them a ring and pay to ensure you don't loose your space.

Their previous event is now full and so people are beginning to book this one up - certainly since I provisionally booked on the 16th there are now about 10 more names down for the event.

Cheers,

Ben

Hey Max,

There appears to be 14 MR2's (most with 2 drivers) confirmed according to the site here:
http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/cgi-b ... f=20080913

We would love to have you along :thumleft:

Sadly though, I doubt we would ever see that many MR2's on track at once. Primarily most circuits (including airfields) have a maximum number of cars allowed on track (usually a lot lower than 50) and secondly because a lot of people get too worried about taking their pride and joy on track in fear of the worst...
IIRC, the most MR2's we had at a single trackday was Anglesey a few years ago where there were something like 30+ MR2's in the paddock and about 25 signed up for track - it was really good too 8) :thumleft:

FAO Everybody
Just spoken to Colin and he has kindly agreed to hold the special £105 price until the 1st September. Anybody who is provisional after that time risk having thier place taken by another car and/or have to pay £119.

Get paid up people... (myself included... )

Got to get my damn rear callipers replaced now so holding back on paying until it’s done. Thought I had got away with just cleaning them up.
