it did when they first came out but i think they added the feature so it remembers where you were in one of the updates.

got me doubting that now tho....

Nope, it does! :thumleft:

Just this second put 'A Long Way Down' back in my 360 (after playing some games) and it played straight off from where I last left it. 8) :thumleft:

But Thai, did you watch that from the console or from the HD drive?

The console definately remembers where you were, even when you remove the disc. But the HD Drive seems to go back to the beginning as soon as you leave the film. Well, not sure if you just leave but 100% definately if you turn it off.

Annoying I'm watching Heroes which has 4 episodes per disc and it takes ages to find where I was!

I have heard a few people say that HD-DVD has better quality then Blu-Ray.

Ok my observation is bright light scenes (for instance daylight outdoor) seem to be nicer on HD.
Night time scenes with artificial lighting (for example Las Vegas) look better on Bluray.

But I also think the film your watching has a lot to do with it as well. Some are barely worth watching in any format of HD.

Yeah some HD films are rubbish, wasnt that impressed with james bond casino royal when i saw it in the shop. On the other hand some DVD's upscaled look HD/Blu-ray quality, try watching star wars episode 4-6.

I have Casino Royal on Bluray, agree, not overly impressive. It's a little grainy though which doesnt help.

Mrs has hopefully got me Transformers on HD.

It's my favourite film and have been dying to watch it in HD.

Was gonna download it on XBL but it's only 720p

Nothing wrong with that mate. You wont see the difference between 720p and 1080p anyway unless you've got a 65" HD TV. 720p looks better than 1080i. :thumleft:

I can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on games on my 50" so i would wait and get it on HD-DVD. It is an awesome film in HD, i want TrueHD surround sound now.

The difference between my old TV which only displayed 720 and 1080i and the new one which is full 1080p is HUGE.

I actually find my self getting a warm feeling of satisfaction seeing some of the beautiful imagary it can display.
