Does anyone know what the tire wear is like?

Is any drifting allowed (I will keep it a good distance from the other track users?).

airfield surface is very harsh mate, go mad and you can easily shred your tyres in a few laps lol.

very very grippy tho!

I found if you dont hang it out on corners the wear isnt that bad.

Ok people. Have been speaking to Javelin Trackdays and the 13th Sept is ours if we want it.
Costs have been set at £104.50 per car. Slightly more than first thought but still great value for money. This is based on 45 cars attending.
This will pay for the venue, medics, marshalls and race control.

Payment is required by the end of August at the latest. I will post up payment details shortly.

If everyone is still interested i will ensure that this runs.

I have a few friends that are interested if we need to make up numbers, but they aren't MR2s.

I,m happy with that, 2 cars definate and 2 provisional at present.
Any details on the track, as it says smooth tarmac, vids I have seen show concrete and large concrete bollards.
Looks a quick track so should give the two,s a good run out.

After much discussion with the committee it has been felt that to hold it as a *specific* trackday carried too much risk. A rather large deposit would of had to of been made and also we would of been responsible of the balance (to the tune of £4700) if we had not filled the spaces. This could of ended IMOC!
Therefore, after much talking with Javelin, they have agreed to hold the date from the public until the 13th August. This effectively gives us one month to fill the places on the date of 13th September.

Payment can be made direct to Javelin so get your names down on that list!

After the 13th August the date will be made public and anybody, whether an MR2 owner or not, will be able to book themselves onto it.

Yup. I had planned to do that anyway tbh.
Will let it run here for a while to ensure as many IMOC'ers as possible benifit and then open up to the OC etc etc
