Well, it's been a bit slow of late... been real busy but I now have an update for those who are waiting with baited breath... oh.. who am I kidding. For anyone who's listening :)

First of all, I've now obtained the new alloys. Now, there was some debate about what size to get, what would be best etc... but I can safely say, so far, that the new setup is superb!

Rota Torque 17" x 7.5" at the Front with Falken FK-452 215/45 and Rota Torque Drift 17" x 9" at the Rear with Falken FK-452 245/35.

I've also managed, with the help of two of my friends to tint the car's windows with a Light Smoke all around to help hide any audio-visual recording aparatus ;)

So, what's next... hmm...

Braided Hoses, fitting of my Carbotech Pads, delivery of the Power Enterprise Induction kit and then it's the full Stainless Exhaust system!

Unfortunately I've developed a rather loud 'clunk' noise when steering at low speeds. I'm wondering if the extra effort of moving the new rims has brought on an up and coming issue with the steering system... which is all good because it's better to have it happen now, than at the ring!

I've also discovered that my passenger side front fog light is very loose. I'm thinking this is the source of the noise I'd reported previously (in another thread.) I think my course of action will be to just remove the pair as they are extra unecessary weight that I don't need. Realistically, when does anyone really use front fogs? I've always found they never help in a fog anyway! :) After that I will try and force air from that opening to the brakes to help with cooling.

Stay t00ned! :)

new wheels look great. really make the car, even if they are no better than the standard wheels for handeling they certainly look the part must have cost near as much as the car though?
yeah i would remove fogs (normally have to tape up the glass for track days anyway).

Personally, I feel that the rears should have a spacer on 'em, that would make 'em look better again. Although, not keen to put them on if I'm going to be hacking it up around tracks.

What offsets are your wheels?

They are either 35 or 40 can't remember right now. They come out far 'enough' as it were but on reflection, given the different style of rims fore and aft I think the rears need to visibly be further out to create a better look.

To be honest I'm not that bothered, the point is handling capability. They look good as is and that's a bonus as far as I'm concerned :)
