Best advice is to buy Alpine.

I could give you a big speil about all the different models but Alpine are the best for iPod units.

Their search/scroll menu's are much easier to use than all the rest.

Also the returns figures are comfortingly low.

Only issues we've seen with the Alpines is some of the older-generation

(3rd Generation Ipod's and lower) aren't 100% compatible

- they still work, but one or two of the functions aren't supported.

I'm confident that Alpine have remedied this with the latest Summer2008 range.

A couple of the latest Alpine units we stock have no CD player whatsoever as they are completely iPod driven

- so doublecheck before you buy if it's an issue to you.

Avoid Ripspeed branded stuff like the plague.
