I'd say yes, it's possible. Can't say as I've heard of the king lead failing though, as it's not in such a hostile environment as the HT leads.

but the king lead IS a ht lead...and it carries 4 times the electrical stress carried by the plug leads, so yes it can certainly fail/cause misfires.

I have now changed:
All of the leads for Toyota ones,
The dizzy cap for a Toyota one,
Blueprint rotor arm,
And spark plugs for platinum tipped (forgot the part number)

I'm still missfiring/hesitating on boost :?

The timing has been checked and all is well.......... what else could be causing the problem?
It seems to be worse when car has been standing in the rain

Any ideas?

Thanks

Damp Coil - A lot of people say a coil either works or it doesn,t believe me I know its not true, could also be lambda sensor an ecu fault reading will show this. :thumleft:

The car has no errors,

I take it the coil is what the king lead plugs into? Or is it distributor side?

If it's worse when damp then the fault is electrical, and probably on the HT side. Next time the fault is showing up try selectively spaying the ignition system with WD40. When the fault goes away you have found the problem. The coil (together with the ignitor) is on the engine/boot bulkhead.. just trace the kinglead from the distributor cap and you will get to it. HAve you recently removed the undertray?- that can let lots more road-spray into the area.

Good point there.... the car has no undertrays on the rear, it never did when i bought it
