it did, and that was like 2years ago when quite a few people wanted them...
luckily for me i got them from a member when i was down at 3s having a service, so i stripped his car of the seats/cards and swapped in my cloth ones, lol.
so saved on delivery and getting rid of my old ones... :thumleft:

Did GT's have ABS and / or EBFD as standard? I was told to steer clear of the retracting mirrors because as they get older they start to rattle and it can be very irritating - not sure whether there's any truth in that or not but there you go. And while we're on the subject, my GT-S has climate control. The climate control system is quite special, it's got light sensors and ambient temperature sensors and all sorts to try and keep the temperature settings on the slider accurate :)

As far as I'm aware the optional extras you could bolt onto a GT-S were:

Cruise Control
Traction Control
ABS
EBFD
2 different Premium Sound Systems
Retracting Mirrors
Steering Foglights
Illuminated Door Locks (never seen these in the wild though)

There were other things you could spec differently as well, eg alarms could be fitted at the factory or were also available as a dealer-fit option.

Any I've forgotten?

Ah if we're getting into options between revisions as well then lets not forget side impact bars which became standard on rev3 as well :)

I thought side impact bars were a factory option... can't remember where I read that now though.

GT didn't have ABS as standard. ALL MR2 Turbos have exactly the same air-con/climate conrol.

The variety of different specs on cars seems quite big. I seriously think that the only gauranteed things on a GT are: half leather, electric mirrors and steering fogs (although many don't work anymore or have been replaced with fixed ones).

Yes that was the case with my old G-Limited, that had retractable mirrors which were very rattly when driving above 40mph. It was irritating but I got used to it.

I think the cruise control option is fairly rare (I have not seen it on any of the 20-ish cars I looked at buying).
The traction control system is pretty basic, it does not seem to react much faster than my right foot
I think its well worth having as a safety feature, but I don't think it's going to give you the performance advantages of a more modern ignition cut type system.
AFAIK the traction control and anti-lock brake options always come together (i.e. if you have one then you have both).

I've known many 2's come with ABS but no traction control. Agreed the standard TC is pretty rubbish, but the ABS isn't too bad. My GT-S doesn't have either

You're not far off - you can't have TRC without ABS, but you can have ABS on its own.

Did any of the Rev3 tubbys have a turbo timer as standard/option? I have a switch by the fog light that is a 1 or 3min turbo timer. Has the same picture of the turbo image on as the boost gauge and looks stock? or did they all come with these??

That's really interesting! I've never heard of that before.
Have you checked behind the dash for an aftermarket TT wired up to the switch?

I wouldnt expect to 'want power back to correct it', sounds like a good way of correcting it all the way to the scene of the accident.
