A little tip,you did right to only apply one coat of wax.The reason being you need to leave the wax to fully cure and solvents to evaporate away for about 24-48 hours before the next coat otherwise applying a second coat will just remove the first.Even when fully cured you will still remove a tiny amount of the first coat especially trying to layer a wax with polish in it like the Gold Class.
If your getting the cleaning bug then i strongly suggest you invest in a carnauba paste wax that has no abrasive qualitys.
You will see the difference again and the paint will be left looking wet like you just ran the hose over it.
You could go with a sealant if your looking for durability but personally i love the warm wet looking glow that Carnauba waxes give.
