1)remove ashtray 2 screws there

2)take off gearknob unclip gaiter take off

3) halfway down gearbox tunnel is a screw each side remove those

4) flip both seats forward there is

each side of the cubby hole i think remove those

5) flip both covers for cubby hole theres 4 screws there

2 at top 2 at bottom cubby hole comes off now and so will gearbox centre part
6)pull out r clip that secures one of rods undo nut on other one there 2 securing plates that hold cables in at the back

these pull up with some pliers or moll grips

7) undo 4 i think 15mm bolts that secure in gearstick mecinism whole thing comes out in one bit

theres another 4 bolts that hold gearstick to metal plate

undo them in the kit you get 4 longer ones it all seperates now

9) tricky and messy bit prise out gearstick from plastic holder very messy and tricky takes probably the most time, get yourself some grease i used multi purpose from halfords nice big dollop on the ball of new shift press into place, this is also very tricky as buy this time you are covered in grease

10) place blue spacer at the bottom of the plate and line up the 4 holes place newbolts through new shifter,spacer and metal plate and do up

11) place it back into car and see if it fails on rods if so mark out where and grind till it doesnt fail we all seemed to have this trouble then reverse all points to refit job done took me 40 mins with grinding
