Out of curiosity Un1eash, what differences have you notived between the stock 14"'s and the 195 15"'s.
I've just gone to 15's
mainly cos they look nicer and I'm a bit shallow like that
- the only difference I've noticed is a bit more tramlining
- though that may be aggravated by poor suspension.

based on the one event

If they're anything like the Sportrac 3s then they get a big

Eagle F1's are great.
they where fine on my SC but now with the extra power i have, they lose it a bit, i'm going to try 205's on my 15's, see if that helps.

based on the one event(autosolo) I have used them on not long!

Seemed to do a whole day at cadwell without too much wear for us, probably no worse than 539s used to be.

Re: Which tyres for my MK1
did some one up in this thread say that dirty word
"Falken!" OMG!

my vote Yokohama Parada spec-2 more grip than 539`s and yes softer, i have tried them also on my mk2 loads of grip! so top choice in my book for both mks.

In the wet they hold there own just fine progressive and good feedback, no surprises when you drive a bit fast
what ever the weather

just to add ran them not buffed and no heat cycles just as you guys would have! interesting on your comment on them not lasting on you, what pressures did you run?

that in ref to my comment?

as stated i reckon they will not last long rather than they

the solo I did wore the outer edges of the rear markedly

next solo

one thing about the parada is that the sidewall seems very squishy

but they seem to work well even when it rained on the solo course
Tyres
What do you guys think of the firestone TZ200 as these are available at a great price and are Z rated.

If I don't go for these I will go for either eagle F1, Yoko Parada or Toyo Proxes

Which is best in the 195/50 r15 size?

yoko advan neova

F1s are a good road choice and a poo track choice due to the jelly sidewalls and their propensity to overheating and falling apart on a dry track.

Haven't tried parada's yet, but i am a bit of a yoko fan and will be trying them on the DC2 when the oem bridgestones wear out.

i wouldnt recomend spec 2's for your honda i was going to get some for the saab but a couple of other people had tried them on bigger and heavier cars and found they where ok on the road but over heated and the sodewalls where to soft.

Alex found they worked quite well as did a friend if mine with an ITR, but we'll see.
