At the time they had a Rev 5 NA in silver and black on an S plate and were asking£10,000 for it, I found a V plate one in the end for
£7500!
Do you mind me asking what you paid for yours?
They did have some very nice cars there though!
However, the whole reason most MR2's in the market place are selling for peanuts by is because:-James Junior wrote:Have seen showcase sports cars stuff advertised and I agree that their prices are very high even for a dealer.
Many of our dear members tend to buy on price rather than quality and then seem surprised when their doors fall off and their turbo's explode 10 miles down the road.
Hope the car is a good one and that you personally feel you have received value for money from the transaction- that's the most important thing.
Incidentally you can also take refuge in the fact that if your doors do fall off in another 10 miles Showcase will likely look after you..

Hi Richard here at Showcase sports cars.
I have to defend myself here as i have definately not had a silver with black on an S plate in the last couple or even 3 years up at ten grand!
Around ten years ago yesbut definately not within the past two.

Hi Richard, the time was April 2005 when I bought the Rev 5 NA I was describing in my post so I guess the time you would have had yours up for£10,000 would have been a couple of months before that.
I don't know if you remember me but I had a black 306 D Turbo I was looking to part ex and we couldn't agree on a deal so in the end I bought the other one.
In all fairness yours was a nice car but the one I got was newer,£2500 less expensive and had done simillar miles, I appreciate I had to sell my 306 privately to acheive the deal I got but the
£2500 I saved was saved as there were no problems with the one I bought in the end.
If you're selling a 1996 car in 2008 for£5000, is it really beyond the realms of possibility that you were selling a 1998 car in 2005 for
£10,000?
