the people who come round and paint bumpers scratches etc are called smart repair

!

this s around the

£100 price but thats fine if you want sub standard materials used for a quick fix only

!

without getting technical its basically acrylic paint and laquers.

you can achieve a satisfacory finish using smart repair

(acrylic)

but it has only a limited life span.

it doesnt have the same finish as 2k paint and laquer that is on your car from factory.

smart repair blowings are restricted to keeping the paint very localised.

in other words

, if ski had his bumper done by smart repair they wouldnt take the bumper off, and would paint the bare minimum.

( cost efective if your selling your car

).

given just 3months you would be able to see the blow in, and it would look milky in comparison to the rest of the bumper.

for a quick job using 2k paint and laquers for the

£100 price can only be cheap bottom of the range materials

!

its like anything

, you get what you pay for

!!!!

just bare this in mind ski

, the cheap way is not always the most cost efective

.

especially if you need to have your bumper painted for a second time

.

for me to do a job like this

, it would cost me

£100 in materials, and useing the spray bake oven

!!!

i would have to use an apropriate filler

(for plastics)

i would have to use plastiszer

( special adhesion for primer on plastic) 2 k primer

, then bake it.

flat the bumper down

, paint it

, laquer it and bake it

!!!!

where are you gonna get that for

£100 dawolf

??

i would love to know.

good luck ski, hope you get it sorted m8
