Having had a 3s-fe and two turbo's now, i can probably offer a bit of insight.

I did my usual trick of buying something, then reading up on it.

Hence i ended up with a 3s-fe.

I spent the first six months annoyed i didnt get the 3s-ge

- until i drove one.

The performance is very similar upto about 5.5k revs at which point the 3s-fe starts to run out of steam

(if anything the 3s-fe was a little bit torquier low down).

I was very underwhelmed with the

"extra" performance of the 3s-ge and i doubt the car would be any great degree faster point to point.

In short, i wouldnt spend any money trying to get to 3s-ge performance.

Sell it and get a turbo, or do a turbo transplant, or be content with what you have got.
