Just to recap the last few pointers.

Grandstand tickets are around the

£135 each mark, last year they were a godsend as the weather was crap.

If you really want to see the pre race build up, the actual start and the finish then a grandstand seat is advised.

I'm not saying you won't see all this if you don't buy a grandstand seat its just you will have to stand for a few hours before the race to get a good viewing spot.

One year we did this in 100 degree heat, we stood for 3 hours before the race on the bank just befoe the chicane at Dunlop, was worth it but very uncomfortable for a few hours.

It really is entirelly up to you if you want to do this.

If you do decide you want grandstand tickets contact me and I'll advise on the best grandstand, theres 16 just on the start/finish line!

Don't bother paying for organised excursions to Arnage/Indionapolis, Mulsanne, etc.

If you do then you are committed to be on the bus at cetain times so you are dictated in a way by the tour companies.

It's reasonably easy to get around the circuit, I probably know every small back lane around their, but I did learn from my errors, remember some of the public roads are closed during the race and practise so just be careful, make sure you take maps of the local area.

Best time to get around is at night, about 3am

- 5am as its a lot quieter.

Its absolute mayhem during the day and the traffic right up till about 2am around the track is nuts!

( remember last year when we all got split up and then stuck in the mud in the car park at Virage Porsche Curve

) Oh those friendly, helpful French gate workers, NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weather

- well 2001 was wet, 2002 was ridiculously hot, 2003, hot, 2004 hotter, 2005, nice and hot, 2006, normal, warm, 2007, em wet and, em wet!! Generally it gets really hot during June, in 2002 the start was delayed when the tarmac on the finish straight started melting, crazy.

Its always warm but the rain is unpredictable and can be troplical at times.

Like Pete said the night times can get cold and a bit damp so a nice TOYOTA or MR2 hoodie will do the trick nicely.

Staying on in France is definately happening, coming back on the Friday for sure.

Now what do you want to do? give me some input.

I'm hooking up with Shane and Susan later in the month so we certainly will come to some sort of decision as to what to do.

Bruges last year was the cherry on the cake and really did make the holiday, not to mention the 1litre jugs of blonde beer, hik.

Remember you will be nackered by then with all the shinanigans in Le Mans so nothing too strenuous please.

More updates soon.
