Is it really worth spending

£3

-5K to get that little power increase?

Ive just got my car back together again and fully sorted.

CT20b
Mongoose Exhaust
Bashed out cat
Blitz ECU
Rev 4 LSD Turbo transmission
all new ignition and modified distributor and new HG.

All fully timed up correct and Ignition timing sorted.

If I run about at 16psi the car is barely drivable as it so fast

(3rd

gear wheel spin) I dont even have time to look at the revs or the speedo as you run out of road to fast and if you take it any where near 8K your doing way over 100mph so I find my self changing up at around 4500K otherwise I would loose my license every time I take it out

, the car is a Torque monster like that.

So I now run it around at 10-11psi

, much more usable

, I can use the power band fully without having to surgically have my eyes removed from the back of my head and put back in there sockets, it much more of a work out to drive it at it best especially on a track and far more rewarding and enjoyable

- guess that just me

, also as it effectively stock and Toyota made them to be used like that day in day out I'm not worrying about it going bang anymore.

I think if i was building a full on drag racer then I would go all out

, but for my daily driver IMPO I feel the MR2 is more than fast enough at 250

-280 FWHP and BHP per

£ to get them there is cheap and more than adequate!
