My friend works in a performance car garage called autotechnics in Chichester. Its just across the road from harbour cars if anyone knows them.
They specialise in porsches and high end cars.
They get all of the service work and repairs for their cars when it doesn't have to be done by porsche.
Anyway, you would not believe how hard they are to work on.
You thought a 2 was bad.
Having to remove the rear bumper to do basic engine stuff means a lot of man hours, so costs are high.
Not only that, but the costs of parts is ridiculous.
A few basic bits and your in to the thousands, and I mean basic bits.
As for the boxter, its truly horrible.Has to be the second ugliest porsche, just short of the cayenne, and yes they do seem to be owned by people that are very aware they are driving the lowest spec porsche, and feel they have to drive it like an idiot to make up for this.

I have no doubt they are a capable car, but think of what else you could buy for that amount of money, new or second hand. Some serious cars that are much more capable than the boxter.

Glad i'm not the only one that would genuinely rather have a tubby than a boxster, they're disgusting and too many cars can run rings around them.

It's not all about how much money you spend it's about the fun factor and getting the best all-around for your money and if you threw boxster money at a tubby you would be far better off in every respect.
