The idea of an open post is that people can post their thoughts and feelings to it.

I for one will be making a pertinent comment everytime someone says "shut up". There is NO difference between saying "shut up" and "locking the thread".

You are just FORCING people to LOCK THE THREAD THEMSELVES by shutting up by choice, which we do not have to do.

This is getting offensive, the way IMOC, and certian members are trying to control an open current thread.

MEMBERS - discuss this topic as much as you want whilst staying on topic.

At present we are being held to ransom by EDMR2 who insist he will post until everyone shuts up, we have non official members saying "shut up" and the IMOC committee and mods will not lock it.

Lock it, or accept it will, on occassion, be posted to, and frankly stop whining that it's still going, it's an interesting topic. If all the moaning and whining about it not being locked was removed it would be a short and very relevant thread.

As it is, lock it, or stop moaning that people are posting to it.

I'm sensing you just prefer arguing the same point over and over.. I personally don't see why. I was making an attempt to calm the situation down as this is only damaging the clubs reputation.

Yes, it's my first post on this and yes, it could be seen as raking over old coals, but there's one old and quite important coal that as a paid up premium member I'd like to see flipped over in public view.

I want to know the full and unedited details of the correspondence sent to IMOC committee members that led them to believe that there was a serious chance of legal action taking place. Serious enough to have to restructure certain aspects of the club meaning that my (admittedly meagre) £5 is now not being wholly spent on what it should be spent on - i.e. the direct benefit of the members.

Until that point, my feeling is that this thread should be left open and this point should be repeated as many times as is necessary until ALL the facts are presented.

I just find it really sad that one person can have such a fundamental and detrimental effect on the running of IMOC. I hope that as a result of the restructuring this is much less likely to be possible in the future.

to the mods and committee (both present incumbents and recently resigned) for having to deal with this entirely unecessary xxxx storm.

FYI I stopped posting in here a while ago, until people started the 'group buy witch-hunt list', this is not the correct way to deal with the situation IMO, so I had to post. I also stopped posting yesterday, until you kept it going by ordering everyone to stop posting.

The correspondence is not going to be released I'm afraid as it involves the Committee members personally and Tim Bill personally. Whilst the end result does affect the club now, it does mean that in the future, anyone taking over in a Committee position should not be placed in a similar position. If it was not agreed to undertake such action then it was likely that the entire club would close. Due to the nature of the correspondence an agreement of all parties would be necessary to release the correspondence due to the nature of the priviledge, even if all the Committee bar one wanted it released, it would have to remain private due toits pirviledged nature. Plus as part of the agreement there was an implied condition that the correspondence would not be released.

Not saying the Committee do not wish to have it published, just if even one member of the Committee at that time did not want it published then the others couldn't go ahead and do it.

Plus as said, part of the agreement includes an implied condition that the full details of the agreement would remain confidential. The Committee, though it may make life harder for them and cause them some "stick", are adhering to the agreement.

I think you'll find that if it went to a vote the committee would unaminously want it posted. We have nothing to hide.
