Re: toe control rod/arm

Post by Jim-SR »

i had a feeling that £50 just seemed too cheap!

i tried to adjust my alignment yesterday (first time ive had a chance to get round to it, my toes are all over the shop) and after 2 hours freeing off the front steering arms to set the fronts where i want them, the rears will not budge! managed to undo the clamp bolts without shearing them, which is impressive (now been replaced with brand new bolts), but the sleeve is seized, as always.

so given the current handling of my car (both rear wheels are 5 or more degrees to the left lol) and the way it wants to rotate on right handers, im going to be machining up my own rear tie bars very shortly (next week if i can find sensibly priced rod ends), which will cost significantly less than Toyota parts, but if i cant do them cheaper than Twos'R'Us then il just be buying theirs :)

You only need the tubes

Tom discovered that you can cut the old tubes off and use new tubes check these links

It brings the cost down to about £30 all in.
