Where about did you enter/exit the engine bat to get to the boot area..

there`s a small hole below the ecu..cut a hole in the rubber and feed some cable through and use a bit of wire to hook it up from your engine bay.

quite a statement there mate, surely this is dependant on the efficiency of the amp that you are using.if you have a 1000w amp then this figure will take into account all the power of the amp which is obviously made up of sound and heat, the better the efficiency of the amp the less heat dissapation you will get.
also the boot of the 2 isnt that small, how do you think FG installs get on? they put amps into tight locations surrounded by FG which acts as an insulator and they still work.
if you are using a half decent amp then heat build up in the boost shouldnt be too much of an issue
