i cant remember nor do I know ,what I can tell you is that it was more powerful than a standard n/a and certainly reved/pulled stronger but if it was beams or not I dont know. All I remember was it had trust or trd in the cylinder heads and a thirst for fuel.

Also at the time ferking expensive rubber

as a side note, would I get a Mk2 MR2 again?

Yes I would! Fantastic cars, loved it a lot. Since then I've had bigger faster cars, just sold a UK 350z as I'm returning to education but it took the Z to capture any of the feel and fun of the MR2.

These are superb cars (then you know it) so enjoy them and dont sell as I'm sure they'll start to appreciate?

Glad your still with us, that is a great vid it really makes people think, it actually brought a tear to my eye, it was good to see you in the pub looking fine at the end. I remember seeing the state of my fathers car after a crash back in 1981 where he had a head on with a lorry, it drove over the front of the car and driver side with him in it and he had similar injurys to you (broken femur, ankle, shin both arms and multiple ribs, spent 10 months in hospital) but is all fine to this day. Your video really made me think how close to a far worse fate he and you have come due to someone elses questionable manouver in a car.

P.S. the music was perfect choice :)

I just liked more "you survived & recovered" ending myself :D

aye it does but then you forget about what happend and it returns to normal...

Had similar, though I walked away. But know the feeling of everything getting put into perspective - but unfortunately everything goes back to how things were and the little things get to you again :(

Hurrah, we're safe :)

Great to hear from you Mike, I like a happy ending - I realised you're not without problems caused by the accident, but the mere fact you're still alive is a miracle in itself. =D>

Great video, very hard hitting and educational especially for people who take unnecessary risks. Defiantly makes you think.

I takes a big man not to hold a grudge, glad to hear everyone was okay.

miike so glad to se you in good health. well done sir, i darent think what like the physio was. i remember when i watched this video for the first time, just before bed one night, and i was in tears...

mikes constant protection of the ford driver really touched me, also i'd had a near miss with a tipper in my side of the road around then, and me being in my lorry at the time i had no where to go so it really hit my over tired and frazzled nerves. hell i actually advertised both my twos =; :pale:

but having heard that the cops reckon the rear engine design saved mike I'll finish my project. but at the risk of sounding like a big girls blouse, i have slowed down considerably since watching it.

Woooah! Thread revival!

I remember watching this the first time round and cringing at the site of the damage te mr2 sustained but I was just amazed that the driver survived
