Engine Modifications: 

Capacity has been increased from 1587cc to 1648cc.

Compression has been increased from 9:8:1 to 10:6:1 by skimming the head by 0.020", thus improving swirl.

Using high compression, 0.5mm over sized pistons, the displacement has dropped to 1607cc.

Friction has been reduced by using Group A piston rings.

Engine runs supercharger spec.

con-rods and late series crank with 42mm big end journals.

Camshafts have been ground from new forgings to retain the original geometry, but with the use of 3 extra duration, higher lift and a specially designed profile which allows greater cylinder filling capabilities with hardly any loss in idle performance, a very difficult thing to achieve whilst retaining the standard MAP sensor system.

All parts balanced, blue-printed and chemically cleaned prior to assembly.

Block finished in red.

Cam cover finished in crackle black

Engine run in on blue-col running in oil, then changed to Castrol GTX after 7,000 miles.

Further oil changes at 2,000 and 5,000 miles when it was changed to Castrol RS 10W/60

I have no idea if the stereo works as I've never turned it on, big wheels tram line like a bu88er on the motorway, I've never driven it hard bar a couple of round abouts on the way home and couldnt break traction, no Idea
