His products are top quality and im sure theres a LOT of people on these forums disgusted by this decision.

What he said was NOT said across the forums but in private, surely thats the idea of a PM?

Everybody makes mistakes but from what ive heard
(and no, not from Tim himself) theres dirty business going on.

There should be further investigations into this.

yes of course there is competition, but there is such a thing as business ettiquette which was sorely missing in this case.As for further investigations, honestly i went looking for some specific conversations and found far more than i bargained for
(BTW BenF did the same).

And trust me a club teh size of IMOC wouldn't survive without rules. If you don't feel teh rules are fair run for election and try changing them.

the FACTS are there, he has admitted he was wrong
there is no FIT UP etc etc
tim bad mouthed another affiliate, FACT he got banned, done it many times before so it is not a one off what so ever
people have there own sides of the storie told my there"mates" but you cant argue with FACTS and him admitting it.
who on here has recived a PM from century motorsport either bad mouthing tim or poaching his business.
I SUGGEST IF YOU HAVE RECEVED A PM FROM CENTURY MOTORSPORT OF THIS NATURE THAT YOU GET A BIT OF INTEGRETY AND MORAL COURAGE AND SPEAK UP
IF NOT THEN LET IT LIE, IF SO THEN MODS CAN DEAL WITH IT
Speedy wrote:We have of course been talking about locking this thread, but I've wanted to keep it open. The reason being two fold
:
1) I want us to be open about why we did what we did, and to make it clear that it involved all of the moderation team, and all of the IMOC committee. We don't take these things lightly, especially where it puts the club into a potentially difficult legal situation.
To those people who are new, or don't know what the rules are, it's useful to see them in action
- and it shows that we take the integrity of the website
(front page aside

) very seriously.
2) As is always teh case in these situations, if we'd put up a single locked post explaining things, there there would be a proliferation of threads all across the board, leading to much more sweeping up for our moderation team- so best to keep it all in one place.
Just to clear up the other points raised![]()
(since I was out last night)
1) Fining people instead of formal warnings- I have to disagree with that, we can't be drawn into legal problems, just because a member or affiliate has enough money to pay us off.
2) Finite time bans instead of infinite- Again, if the ban was only for x weeks or months, the person would come back, and in all likleyhood, carry on the way they were before, doesn't really solve the problem, just sweeps it under the carpet a bit.

They possibly been instrumental to the whole this ban(or at least part of it).
