The RS is a low volume road/race car though. You are now changing the rules and now just picking what you like ;)

My boss built his own 7-a-like and he's as happy in that as he is his 7 series.

As far as I'm concerned, if it's road legal, it counts.

Like drag racing - I don't think Jet cars 'count' as you can't get them MOT'd . Also I think stuff like nitro and slicks is cheating, you should only be able to use what you can pickup at the petrol forecourt. =;

Bibbs, by tintop i mean a real road car, not some low production, racecar that is road legal.

But where do you draw the line?

GT3RS is low production. F60 and CGT are not exactly mass produced.
Ultimas have hardtops. 7-a-likes are common but not exactly road cars.

The only thing you can say is, is it road legal?

Well i guess its obvious in that you can quite happily use a GT3RS etc on the road. Using a radinail on the road however is not really practicable.

Some people do use caternails on the road, but i don't know anyone that has a radinail that uses it on the road.

is that the new criteria ? you have to have the car, it has to have an MOT, and Lauren has to know you ... only then do you have a road car ?

makes no sense at all.

Well i think in the context of what we were talking about a GT3RS is obviously a car you can use on the road whereas a radinail is not.

I really can't be ar$ed arguing semantics.

the difference for me, is that with the GT3 they have clearly taken a road car and evolved it and altered it's compromise towards track focus.

With the radical et al they have taken a race car uncompromised vehicle and slightly compromised it to allow it (just) to get an MoT.

For me it's the thought at the start of the process, where did it come FROM.

Hope that makes sense! Not trying to make an argument.

Not an argument, and all this is SO FAR off topic it's funny.

Makes more sence than Lauren's - "name a car and I'll tell you if I'll allow it or not".

The only issue is Carrera GT - cancelled GT racer they turned into a road car? F40/50/60 As much F1 tech in a road legal format?

My opinion is if you can legally drive it home (road tyres etc) it counts.

He was running about 255 brake.

Graeme

I doubt it was a genuine GT2 then. Either that or he was just pootling round.

It was at TOTB actually Lauren, so I'm sure he was a one careful owner type. I over took him through 2nd and 3rd, all be it just!

Graeme ... 255 brake, mine was about 230 at the wheels ... LOL ... and what about the 75 shot of nitrous oxide that I was lobbing in!! I'll of had nearer 350hp and 400lbs of torque and no lag :D !!
Small turbos - they're not big and they're not clever!

Just say NO to small turbos!

Your all wrong!!!!!

What im impressed about is the corvette!!!!

Dont like Porche, they make good cars, no doubt. But i dont like them. they have no personality, there is no passion on them!

Jap cars! Same again, no personality, they make the car go as fast as possible and leave the rest out. Its all fancy gizmo's etc.

The corvette is probably one of the cheapest on the list, and look at its performance! Not only is it quick, but it has a personality and a passion behind it!

Do you think you need a 70s chassis to qualify for personality?

Hmm interesting. I'm fast coming to the conclusion that the best cars in the world are in fact German.

With a laptime like that it works!

Who cares when it was invented, if it works, it works!

Hell the germans put the engine in the back of the car and have made it work.

Its the same here! :)

i'm only kidding Lauren, I like cars depending on...well whether i like them or not , not what make they are - I'd love to be able to buy and maintain British though, Esprit V8, Astons etc. ok not the quickest or the most technological of cars but i like them and the heritage they have.
