Have they scrapped the rule for over 25's or is it now a higher age?

bl**dy f**king robbing b*stard insurance companies!!!
i only found out recently that if someone crashes into you(totally their fault) that you still have to claim to repair your car from your insurance.
.
thus losing your no claims bonus even though its totally not your fault you were involved in an accident.
in which case you may aswell buy a 1.1 fiesta to drive around in for the next few years becoz you wont be able to insure s*d all due to having no no claims bonus all over again.

This is completely incorrect.![]()

Your insurance company will pay for the cost of the repair and then claim that money back from the other insurance company.

The onl;y time this doesn't happen is if it is processed as a 50/50 claim or as your fault.
If the other person is at fault then you will still retain your no claims discount however at renewal time you will have to tell insurance companies that you have made a claim but that it was a no fault claim.![]()

That way they do not hold that against you.
I've had 5 accidents where I have made a claim in 17 years of driving all have been the other drivers fault and I have never lost my ncb or been charged extra because I was involved in the accident.
