Hi Oddshoes,

You mean something like this?

Don't do it, just don't.

It looks bloody good, but it took me 100's of hours of hand sanding.

If you do go ahead just do the aluminium and paint any steel.

Polished all the steel on my car as well as the aluminium but it rusted through the lacquer, and that included all of the brake components as well as the engine.

As to doing it just start off with 80 sandpaper, then 120, then 180, then 240, then 320, then 400, then 600, then 800, then 1000, then 1200, then rubbing compound, then t-cut, then finally autoglym.

Have a life, don't do it, just drive it.

BUT, if you've got the money buy a second set of aluminium components and pay someone else to do it

(not me though).
