I was quoted

I did ask them about a loyalty policy for cars over 10 years old which they didn't seem to know much about but decided on 5% discount.

Is this a good price?

Durham is too far away for me.
I may as well spend the extra and get it done at my local MR.T and save on petrol and a whole day of travelling.
Has anyone else had theirs done recently?

I had mine done in November at my local Mr T.![]()
They run the loyalty discount scheme where if your car is over 10 years old you receive 30% off labour and if your car is a Toyota 10% off parts.

The total cost was£128.29
(including discount) which I was well pleased with.

I also had a
'C' service and a coolant change, so the total bill was a lot higher than that.

£180 inc VAT doesn't seem OTT to me though for peace of mind.

It seems it depends who your local Mr T is whether the loyalty discount applies.

Try calling other Mr T's in your area as prices seem to vary from branch to branch.

£120 for parts for a starlet camblet kit alone!
(belt and 2 tensioners) Or was that quote only for the belt
(about 30 quid i think).
Can you not get a small local garage to do the job for you?
in answer to the question i change them for£50 all in,thats me supplying the belt too,and it takes 40mins while you wait.
