leaky t-bar roof
i just recently have been getting a wet leg,so i decided to try and seal the roof with silicone sealer spray to no joy,so i decided to try and seal the roof with some silicone which i brought from halfords which was black but still got a wet leg.this morning i took off the door panel and made the window stoppers higher which made a perfect seal and not one drip now.just thought id share this with you all as the wet leg really got on my nerves

Re: leaky t-bar roof
Hi, not quite sure what you mean, have you adjusted the stop point of the window?
I've got the same problem and have tried the black silicon filler ploy without any long term sucess

on the old forum there was mention of modifed off centre locking pins with the necessary part numbers from Toyota that I was hoping to try but all the help sheets have dissapeared in the revamp.

Anyone know of the part numbers, even better have a copy of the instructions to change the pins?

TIA

2 minutes after I posted.

Still, if anyone has the instrictions
/ how to on their HDD somewhere I'd still appreciate a copy.

I'll be ordering the pins first thing so I'll get them ASAP

Re: leaky t-bar roof
yea,all i did was remove the door panel and undo the two window stoppers
(one at a time
) moving them slighty up then tightened them back up.my leak has completly stopped now and it only took me about 20 minutes to sort out and no more wet leg.if it drips on your leg then this should work, just wish i had of done it first rather than waste time sealing it etc as i removed all the sealer cause it made the leak worse.when your door is shut and window is up just check to see if the window fits tight up to the t-bar roof as i had a tiny gap and thats where the leak was from

mmm the sealant worked perfect in my case but maybe I was just lucky

Well
- I picked up the offset pin guides and fitted them yesterday

They feel
'tighter' when the glass is closed so I have high hopes

Just waiting for a run in the rain to see if things have improved.

I took a number of piccies as I changed the guides, would there be any benefit in knocking up a guide with photos do you think?
Would take an hour or so, so no biggie if it would be of help.
