[Mk2] [Turbo] So long and thanks for all the fish!

Post by Daveb »

Im no longer a MR2 owner after 2 years.

Have been thinking about what to do for a while, as seen in this thread: http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=55550

New toy has been bought. Could of had 3 MR2's from Japan for the price but hey its going to be awesome and a whole differnet kettle of fish - n/a for a start. 8)

Owning a MR2 was great fun, good cars but they are getting old now. I dont want to grumble but the price of them is just shocking now. My local garages have 4-5 of them. Ebay has 200+ and Autotrader has loads, the place is flooded with them and its drove the prices right down. Now some right chavs and idiots are getting them. Its like us having loads of Mk2 Astra GTE's and flogging them all to a little island somewhere.

Anyway catch you later, was good to meet a lot of you on various roadtrips and events. :)

Get one with the 190bhp VVTI engine and it would wipe the floor with any standard Tubby and if you happen to like race tracks it would destroy pretty much any mk2

I was thinking of saying Exige but arent they supercharged or is that a different model?
I know one Elise/Exige is 240bhp with a CTR engine with a blower. Now that sounds fun!
