Mate, isnt there a noob in a thread (mechanical) with an Elise looking to sell up and buy a tubby? Might be worth chatting to him mate.

Two birds, one stone and all that.

Thanks guys

Thanks guys!! I will send him a PM to discuss

if i am unable to find a decent elise i will keep the tubby...you guys know what it i like when you have a nice car...and dont really want to part with it...but temptation of a new car is always jus as strong.

yep i was quite impressed with the power it made at 0.9BAR
Must be the uprated turbo and 3" exhaust system. i was most impressed with the whees figure to be honest. Was expecting about 215 :-)

Been reading a few things on these early elises...What you guys think? seems to be a few issues with em

i just posted another topic in general regarding wether or not i should change.

Been reading a bit this week on the early lotus elises and there seems to be a few issues with em...rover enginees.......:-( unsure wether to change now as my tubby is running very nicely and its guna cost me 8k plus for a lotus....

i am starting to question wether the change is worth it!

Well mate, if youre after a track weapon or abitmore of a drivers car then why not put the bulk of that cash back in the and throw a small portion of it at the chassis. If you think its runing well and youre happy, leave that sid alone. Go go a good coilover, braced (lower and upper) , top mounted etc etc setup. Shold give those elises a scare!

Sorry to hijack a bit but Bobby when you say brace lower, do you mean uprate ARBs or do you mean additional lower braces? I know of one central brace you can get from sBits but not sure about any others :-k

You'd have to rip your right arm off for it

Tbh mate I have no plans to sell it in the near future, not for a couple of years anyway I imagine. I've still got a few more things I want to do to it...
