YAY!! at last,i have a pic of me performing a textbook burnout!
thanks for the pics Redeye, they look great.
Ok,this is 1/2 good quality vid of my best run (with clutch slip in 2nd as you will hear) but pulling a suprising 1.9 60ft and wasting a 5.8litre capri in the process..
I have to add also, this was using 205/50/15 section road tyres out back (hankooks aquatreads or summik)

It was a good day - the mass number of people took the edge off things and the lack of traction!!!

Mike - you were losing traction... think of me on my 225 stunners!!!
What tyres did you have BTW as i looked at them and they looked like lightly grooved slicks - if they are road legal i may look into some.....

Still my 11.9 made me happy- just gotta sort the compressor surge to get 1.7 bar and some better tyres and the times should come down a bit more.

Was good to see my terminal speed was the same as Xxxx's and he was running 11.2 - on full slicks though!!!

Hi Nath.

The tyres i'm running are aimed at track day use....Toyo R888. They are completely road legal too so no worries there :) I have to say though, they are in my opinion a step up in terms of grip when compared to more road orientated rubber, but, due to their track aimed design they have a very stiff side wall, so great for taking corners. The problem is, when you try and run more drag aimed tyre pressures (ie 12/15 psi) you'll find that the tyre wall just doesn't bulg out like they would on a drag spec radial. I've had them down to 8 psi and the bloody things still looked fully inflated lol #-o

So to sum up, I believe them to be a great track/road tyre that will lend itself to a bit of drag strip fun. But if you want serious grip off the line you really need the right tools/tyres for the job ;)
