maximum speed is dependant on whether you have the SC gearbox or not.

Why are you interested in maximum speed?

on an Na box i've seen 145mph

@7800rpm on a levin AE92 engine which is pretty much the same as the AE101 engine

(ie its more similar than the AW11 SC engine).

Speed isn't limited, not on a conversion.

Get the big pulley as whats the point of not getting it?

Intercooling is marginal with the big pulley though.

Not a mega problem on the road, but definately a problem on track.

also you must have a power boost valve

(ie rising rate fuel press regulator) and get it setup on a rolling road as otherwise it'll run lean on acceleration due to the NA pump and the lower pressure of the SC pressure regulator.

You will see just over 180bhp, not 190bhp with the big pulley and an exhaust and filter.

Reckon on a grand to fit the engine.

Its not difficult but if i was doing it i'd look at

£750ish as its a few days work.

Also depending on how complete the loom is on the SC engine there may be extra work involved.

It cost me 1K to have my engine fitted back in 2001.

You'll have to cut a hole in your engine lid unless you can get both an SC engine lid and matching intercooler.

Teh intercooler you get for the conversion is slightly smaller than the original SC one.
