Looks like a nice car, only thing that concerns me is the "WAS INVOLVED IN A SLIGHT FRONT ACCIDENT AND WAS PROFESSIONALY REPAIRED" there looks to be a gap between the bonnet/bumper where the kit doesn't fit to well.

Other than that though the car looks lovely and clean, lovely wheels to

Nice, tidy looking MR2. As long as the bidding doesn't go too mad, you might end up with a cracking motor there.

It might be worth mailing the seller to find out as much as you can about that accident, though. Bodykits can hide a multiple of sins. :o

I've seen this car in person a couple of times in Coventry and have to say it looks immaculate. It may be a UK car with a turbo transplant but the body work and spray job is very good. Not sure about the 280BHP at wheels though

Standard air box and standard exhaust?

can someone explain why a transplant sounds effy....if it done properly...and the engine is a good donor ....why cant this be okay....

the car looks good but with such a big kit change..and engine .you will really have to find out the year of the car....could be a 1990...rev 1...

i know all about transplants mate as ive done one myself on my punto 1.2>1.4 turbo. they are not iffy if the owner you are buying it off had the transplant while the car was in their hands.

i will be giving the owner a ring again to ask about a few things, the car was registered in 1997

Very very nice, Don't think i've seen that kit before and i can't make my mind up about the front yet so i'll have to keep looking at it for a bit longer :P I'm impressed with the rear and sides though - Me like :D

If it wasn't a bit iffy, surely the owner would have been happy to say that it was a UK car with a transplant, rather than a weak "had a little front end bump".

I looked at over a dozen rev 4 and 5 turbos and I would say that at least half of them came into the country as write offs. I didn't see one that wasn't damaged in some way. It's not often that someone has enough cash to import a clean and straight late model turbo. Even the early ones increase in price by over £3k when imported due to duties,SVA and profit margins. The fresh, late model imports I saw were £12k and up.
