Squeeky window?!

Post by Leon. »

Hi folks!

My drivers side window has recently started to squeek when lowering or rising. Is it the runners needing a bit of grease?

Cheers in advance,

Leon

I am afraid its very serious, you have a mouse stuck in your door. I would call the RSPCA immediately.

On a serious note it might be some gunk along your window seals, happened on my Pug.

Mine had a REALLY bad squeak, only when it was cold though !
Just removed the door panel and WD'd the offending rail, in my case it was the main horizontal one, thank god for the straw :D
Wish I had done it sooner really......

Cheers mate!

I need to WD40 a couple of other things too so I'll get it done at the weekend.

Dont know whether you need this, but it might be of use....

The only thing I would add, is that a couple of times I have done this, and once the card/panel is free it still wont actually quite come off. Putting the window down a few inches released it.

Hope this helps :)
