I will do my best, I went to see my mechanic earlier and he got the car up on the ramps. I thought it was the drop link or the anti-roll bar but now we think its the nearside suspension. We found nothing wrong with the drop links or anti roll bar and said I would "probably" be ok to drive it to derbyshire. However I am roughly 100miles away from the meeting point so I think the best thing to do is for me to aim to get to the pub for 12:30 ish and if there are any probs enroute I can give Tom a bell on his mobile. Hopefully the car should hold together [-o< and anyway I can always meet everyone somewhere on the route. Also I usually bring my mate whos into mr2's and also my camera man/navigator but he cant make it so I am no also liable to get lost as well!!
Anyway I have my car.map and mobile and not forgetting my overwhelming sense of adventure :?
See you all tommorow!! [-o< :( :) :D
Ps Those tyres look like they have been overinflated as that would explain the crack, you may be able to get by by letting a bit of pressure out. I have mine at 34psi all round.

Well tom im certainly going to give it a good go to get there.... just blue though i have a tendency to get lost lol even with sat nav :?

Just chucked a bucket of water over the old girl and ran the hoover around her in the dark.... got the camera on charge so im all set to go... if it wasnt for this tyre there'd be no prob's... anyway im planning on just chucking a budget on for the moment and then sorting them out later.

Oh by the way Dave (mr two) wont be coming down with me now.... he's got some virus and not feeling to good... sooooo i may well get lost....

I cant wait for tommorow.. its gonna be a hell of a day

...and I've got a blinding headache :(

The "track" is a bit slippery today as well, we'll have to take it easy.

Alex, you still coming to mine first? If so, make it here by midday.

Top fun! :P

Had a few drop out at the last minute though.... :( And had a very late start from the meeting point as we were trying to contact Dan (Blue2) and Lee (SpittinFlames) to find out where they were, but neither of them were answering their mobiles! ](*,)

So it was just the four of us. I was a bit intimidated by all the horsepower though. There was me in my little Mk1 SC, two Mk2 turbos with various modifications and a 400hp Supra (soon to be uprated to 600hp  )

So I had a cunning plan to stop them scampering off into the distance, by running in reverse horsepower order! :clown:

Weather was great until the early afternoon so T-Bars off time. Made it to the Cat and Fiddle Pub for lunch, but it was 4pm by the time we left and decided to come straight home.

Next year I'll organise a great big version of this, it should be great fun in the Summer.......

A BIG APOLOGY to everyone and especially Tom. I have Pm'd you. Anyway to cut a long story short, I was called away from work last night as my Dad who is not well at present was taken ill and had to go into hospital. So obviously I had to be there and have been there all night and most of today. I really didnt have any time to contact anyone and my mobile was left at work along with my wallet!! Everything has calmed down now and touch wood its nothing too serious. Why do these things have to happen at the worst times!! Really annoyed that I let you guys down and I was really looking forward to this one but Im glad to hear that you all had a good time. Im now going to get my head down as Im knackered.
Once again Im sorry and I will DEFINATLY be coming to the next one!
Dan :)

Dan do you get the feeling it all sounds like excuses coming from us pair..... i hate it when things like this happen cause it makes it look like we just couldnt be ar$ed and then use loads of excuses.

Hope your dad doing ok anyway m8.... You get some rest

I know what you mean! I had everything sorted to go this morning I had even gone to the garage yesterday to get my drop links and tyres checked and make sure the car was sound, then this happens! Beleive me I am GUTTED that I couldnt get there.
My dads doing ok now thanks, seems that it was just a bit of a scare. Im sure everyone who couldnt make it had geniune reasons but its difficult not to make them sound like excuses!

I'm out now for the night. Sort the others asap. Does anyone mind the number plates being shown? Let me know if you'd rather I brush them out.

Glad I decided to come up... nice meeting you guys.

Dan :( ,

Hope everything is ok, I'm really sorry I posted about waiting to hear from you and Lee. I hope your Dad is ok, I'm really feeling guilty now.

Lee, sorry as well. I was trying to contact Dan and Alex was trying to contact you and we couldn't get hold of either of you.

We had a great day and it was just a forerunner for something much bigger next year

Dan, I'll read your PM and reply in a minute...

Kev  (sorry Keith! :D ) I don't give a toss about my number plate! Remember it is a 17 year old car! There have been loads of photos posted from loads of Trackdays. If I ever sell it (which I won't) I will be totally truthful about its history.....
