Yes I will bring a map #-o but there was a map for the "run to the lakes" provided on here which had the route highlighted and was available for download and printing off but I seem to remember that not many people printed off a copy which made things slightly more complicated (I remember you had a route map but no one else did)[-X :D Anyway 1st meets are always a test run for future ones and things can always be improved. Anyone know what the weather forcast is?

mate your car looks nice.

trust me im constantly finding faults with mine in every area. just spent over £600 in a week sorting out things and getting car running right.

still got abig list though

front bumper could do with respray new dials on interior tidy up seats etc etc etc.

end of the day were gonna ahave a good laugh, chat and drive through some fantastic roads and anything that needs sorting will just get done at some point so next time we meet we can say wow that looks better.

for me im abit of aperfectionist but can appreciate that a 13 year old car cant be absolutley faultless. part of the fun sorting things out and improving things. you can stand back and feel a sence of acheivment.

Rest assured my car is far from mint. Its basically standard and in dire need of a wash and wax which will hopefully be done this week providing it stops bl00dy raining for 1/2hour!! [-o< Do we have anymore takers for this meet? I think so far we have 7 cars?

Oi! Don't forget me! :D And Spittinflames please don't be so silly! My car looks great from about 20ft away (it is totally rust free and I challenge anyone to find any rust on it! ) but get a bit closer and you will see it needs a total respray (I challenge anyone to find more scratches on their car than mine! ) so stop worrying! :D

A tad too late m8 :? Started it yesterday and my cars in pieces at the moment... I'll try and finish it off today afterwork but aint it just a pain in the ass... it's the same as the one i'm selling/sold. XS one.... what a pig of a job... if worse comes to worse i'll just bolt everything back as it was and leave the cat on

If i do get it fitted is there a problem with them after....

I have a couple of problems!! Firstly I have noticed a knocking sound from the front right hand wheel every time I go over a bump in the road. Im pretty sure this is the anti-roll bar or the drop link. Now I have noticed it getting worse today and am unsure as to how long it will hold out. The other problem is that my mate who knows the route well has had to pull out so I would be coming alone which meant if anything on the car did give out then I would be pretty well screwed to fix it.
So my question is this: Do I risk it! I want to come and have been looking forward to this, however at the same time I dont want to f;;ck my car up anymore.
Is it okay to drive a car with a knackered droplink or antiroll bar and is there any danger of the wheel locking up/falling off?? :?

lol this is freaky i've got a bit of a problem too.... After struggling with the downpipe i decided to put everything back toeather thinking i wouldnt get it done in time for the meet. Anyhow thought i'd go down halfords and get some oil change so it's nice and fresh for the trip... now i noticed when i was braking i could hear a rubbery rubbing sound from the front... checked my front tyres and this is what i found  both fronts are the same and the line go's all round the tyre on both sides of the tyre... What do you guys think.... BAD?? dont want to miss the meet as i've organised to meet dave (MR TWO) for the trip down but i also dont want the rubber to come off

Right what im going to do is try and finsih work early tomorrow and get down to quick fit and repalce this tyre with anything they've got.... Hopefully should be around Dave's for about 11.00 / 11.30 gives us an hr to meet you guys... if im running a little late i'll phone you and would be great if you could just hang on for us ;)

I'm gonna try my hardest to get to this meet and a poxy tyre isnt going to defeat me... Just washed the car but it's a little to late to give her a wax.... just need to set the camera up in the car and should be ready to go.

Blue2 you've got to come, if i can do it you can..... worse comes to worse i'll come over to you if you break down and you can use my recovery service.. Come on fella lets make it a good one. especially after all the work toms put in.

:( Lee,

That tyre doesn't look too clever (coming from me who ran around Anglesey track at pace with a delaminated left front tyre :clown: ).

You can get a mobile fitting service to come to your place of work and fit your tyres. I did this last year with my Fiat Coupe and to my amazement it was actually cheaper than taking it to a proper tyre fitting place!

You've got my mobile number, so give me a call and let me know how you are going on.

You're not letting anyone down, you've got a genuine problem.

Hope you can make it......
