You can install a TD06 and run it on the factory computer up to 14 psi with no worries about fuel.

Above 14 psi, you really should start thinking about fuel mods.

The factory ECU sets fuel cut based on what the MAP sensor sees.

All the map sensor on the Gen2 engines does is control the OEM boost gauge

(which is worthless) and fuel cut.

If you cork the vac line to the MAP sensor you will have no more fuel cut and you will stop the OEM gauge from working.

The only reason to get an FCD is if you want to raise the fuel cut point.

The TD06's boost level will be determined by the wastegate spring.

If you want more boost than it will allow, then you need some sort of boost controller

(EBC, MBC or the grainger valves)

You will not need to change the headgasket or fuel pump.

I am running over 400 rwhp on the OEM headgasket

(not recommended that high) and I did not swap out the fuel pump until I was over 300 rwhp.
