brakes

Post by WillyWonka »

hopefully someone can tell me this is ffree to fix!!..

i have just changed my front brake pads and both rear calipers then bled the brakes (admittedly in a bit of a rush as it started to rain  )

testing the brakes driving round the car park the pedal drops quite low on the first press but then if you press again then it becomes firm.

is this something to do with the servo or have i just not bled the brakes well enough? with the engine off the pedal resistance and level when pumped stays the same.

cheers

It'll require a few presses on the pedal just to move the pistons out (which you'll have pushed in to put over the new pads).

After those first few presses it should go back to normal.
