Well done Frank, great day - I didn't realise J-Tuner were going to be there too, will be good to see this one in a magazine some time.

The Mk1 pulled 102bhp at the wheels, which isn't bad for a 21 year old engine which has been mercilessly thrashed at trackdays for the last year and a half. The estimated flywheel figure I got was 136bhp, which I think was suprisingly generous for transmission/tyre losses - but its just good to know the car is producing the power.was

As for videoing - I was looking after the video camera and so didn't really get chance to chat to everyone as much as I'd liked to have done ... thanks to Paul Port and Super for minding it for a few runs :)

I've got 1 hour 40 mins of footage from today - its playing int my PC at the moment.

I'll try to edit up the runs people did, and upload high quality clips to the site here. Looking at the footage the sunlight through the windows causes some patterning on some of the footage, but it is good enough.

Nicely organised Frank =D>

Great convoy and some awesome cars. Never seen so many CC's in one place.

Was it me, or was there a wide variation in calculated transmission losses? Seemed to range between 40 and 80 bhp guestimates :-k

Anyone keep track of all the wheel bhps?

Only took a few pics on my phone  and I promise I wasn't pulling a face when we were all infront of the IMOC banner

Once again, well done Frank.. really looking forward to yet another MR2 feature in J-Tuner =D>

I got 237 at the wheels today

at the wheels is where it counts  ... so 237 at a smidge over 1bar boost a nice number

I'm well chuffed (hence my silly jig under the cossie \:D/ )

I am recovering now from my naff run and am hoping I get it sorted very soon. As soon as I do i will post back up what was wrong

The transmission losses will vary with the power that the engine is generating- its not a fixed amount, and should be calculated on the roll-down after the first run.

The best figure to use is the one that is measured at the wheels - there's no argument about these.

If you need a figure at the fly, generally for my old Mk2 Turbo I found transmission losses were generally calculated to be between 15 and 17.5% - so a 200bhp at the wheels is about 235 at the flywheel.

Yeh TBH, you both right, just a bitter pill to swallow and not throw up!

First I gotta get my new exhaust then start looking at the WHY, WHEN and HOW, then a new RR to check everything out.

Cheers fellas =D>

Steve, I thought I was using the Power of the Darkside and that the Force was strong with me!

The ONLY thing strong with me was the power of that birds nest and the black smoke pulsating from the zorst during the run!!

DEEP BREATH= AHHHHHHHHHHHH Bad black air, **AHEM** cough splutter,

They're all going to be very high quality and 4-7MB in size.
