Just checked. From my house to Wirksworth is 85miles the circular route around Belper and Ashbourne is roughly 30 miles and back to Macclesfield is 33 miles. All in all its around 200 miles which is no problemo. Looking forward to it, the route looks tops!

Modified route taking in one of the best viewpoints in Derbyshire (in my humble opinion). This is Monsal Head near Little Longstone......

Monsal head exellent the only other mod i would suggest is when you get to the bottom of the C&F go into Macc and on the A523 then at Bosley take the A54 up to the top of the C&F you wont be dissapointed

Yeah, but no later. Remember it starting to get dark real early now. Basically I was waiting to see where everyone was coming from to see if there was a better meeting point. But let's say it's the pub.

I may have to meet up with everyone on the route from Macclesfield as I can see myself getting lost on route to the pub and dont want to hold everyone up as I may be late . Anyway Im bringing my mate so if he can act as navigator then I wont have a problem. Ill let you all know before hand.

Ok, driven passed it on the way back from Anglesey trackday. (Found a good reason to take the scenic route back which included the Cat and Fiddle , which was extremely slippery! )

It's called "Malt Shovel Inn" (sounds nice!). I've never been in it it's just that it's a convenient place.
