Hiya Toby,

Yeah! So.

.

.

.

It's all done! Almost.

.

.

So after a disasterous time with a mix up due to
ATS

of all people

(confirmed) I ended up buying a brand new GT3076 in parts.

Not the most cost effective way

(read

+300 over buying a GTX) but I already had the housings to hand.

so bought the CHRA.

.

.

then needed all the other bits.

.

.

.

Anyway, we got there in the end.

Maybe in the future if it needs a rebuild i'll get a GTX wheel

/ cover on there.

So Simon at Predator Performance Began the work o.

.

.

.

Plumbing in the new chargecooler,

Installing 1ZZ COPS and MSD tacho converter,

4 bar map sensor,

Brand new GT3076 turbo kit

(and re-welding downpipe to suit)
4" Intake

crinkle black cam cover
Remap.

The Engine bay also had lots of the guff cleared out so it looks a lot cleaner, and some further remedial work to relocate the cc pump which was on the lowest point on the car one bad rock or hump and it'd have been yanked off

, turned it around to be the right way, and wired to ignition rather than fuel pump so that was also sorted and I couldnt be happier with the standard of work.

This is the only picture I have at the moment so I need to get a better one.

.

.

but VERY happy.

Sitting at 28psi boost, injectors at 85% duty.

Booked in for a dyno session at Surrey RR on the 3rd June.

I estimate 450hp.

IAT's are super cool, these cores are superb.

I've got a 335i which is my daily at 382hp and whilst that is brisk, the MR2 is way more fun.

Laggier, peakier, louder

(and probably slower), but definately much more fun.

Still need the rear main seal replacing on there

(gearbox, flywheel

& clutch out job) under warranty but life seems to be whizzing away so fast I'm struggling to find the 2 days needed to think about driving 4.5 hours

up to Pete's to get it done.

It's another 100 quid of fuel too which I just dont have, and

450 tyo get done locally
