removing it really does given a very simple smooth look to the car.

In keeping with my period upgrades I'm pretty stoaked.
Pure luck and timing, but when Andy got in touch after i left an interest in his old td06 kit when he went to the gt3076 I thought a good opportunity to get stuck in and refresh the unit given how many owners it's had on here!!
It for sure requires a rebuild, which was reflected in the price, but I have plans to renew gaskets, lines, uprated full bearing kit and a billet comp wheel which I will do myself.
thanks to Andy for keeping me informed, i have been super busy at work of late and this feels like a reward and Xmas come early.
After some research, though the kit supplied was an ats racing td06 20g kit, I was puzzled by the comp housing when looking for a billet upgrade.I believe the turbo may infact be a td06 17c, not a 20g.
So smaller comp wheel and housing.
But turbine side is a 20g.
I believe this exact turbo was used on a mitsi 4.3ltr v6 truck!!
I need to measure comp wheel, but early indications do look like this is a 48/68 comp wheel setup.Basically a 16g size, not 20g.
So earlier spool but not quite as much top end which is probably more ideal on a stock bottom end anyway.
Though 550cfm at 1bar is decent.
Anyways let the fun times begin!
Can't wait to be back in screamer vill!

What's the deal with balancing one of these once you've had it apart- do you need to send it away?
jimGTS wrote:Yeh I may consider just replacing with a stock one.
I haven't a lot of easy options this side of the turbo.
