Porterfield Brake Pads

I'd say it sounds like a clicking noise, though I drive with windows down all the time so I'll always notice it
Not sure if that's to do with the discs if chosen, dimpled and grooved I went for

I got Goodridge braided lines at the same time, and new fluid..
Could do with a brake stopper though

Just out of interest, do you have the stock anti squeal shims fitted? I've always run without the shims as it gives you slightly better pedal feel but that is with OEM pads, wondering if you need the shims when using the fast road/track pads to keep them quiet.

Nope- the Porterfields cam with shims, so I didn't fit the old ones off the other pads...I was going to see if I needed them, but not seemed necessary so far

Also running the exact setup that Ashley and Gullzter are. Mtec coated discs and r4s pads and they've described them down to a tee. Love the progressiveness of them and the dust isn't worth mentioning tbh. Coped very well, tucked up behind Ashley for a lot of the Pyrenees runs.
Definitely a set up I'll continue to use in future

Let me know if you find a better price. I've had some luck previously ordering parts from US manufacturers via Amazon, saving quite a bit of money. Annoyingly Porterfield do have some listings on Amazon US, none for the MR2 though.

Having no luck getting any responses from the Whifbitz
team, Don't want to order the wrong pads.

Any ideas if these are the fronts and rears I need.

Umm....they told me the rears were the same for all revisions when I called, and I just ordered a "pair" of rears off the website:

Edit: since then I have called a 3rd time and spoken to Paul
He's mentioned they take about 10 days as are shipped from
America. I'll be ordering tomorrow.

Ordered through TCB parts instead,
Paul's very helpful and gave me the same price as Whifbitz
did. Also ordered a set of HEL braided lines
and MTEC dimpled and grooved discs with a black protective coating.

One more question, Which Fluid ?

I believe the car has Miller 300 plus in it atm.
should i just used that again ?

I'd use either Motul RBF600 or RBF660

RBF660 is supposed to be decent.
